This installment of Mummy's Pajamas Music Corner is regarding my new favorite album Triangle by The Beau Brummels.
This lovely little album, is a beautiful blend of Folk/Country Psychedelia, with lovely pop arrangements. Sal Valentino's (yes, that is his name!) vocals sound like a lilting Bob Dylan, and are perfectly suited to this album. This is the second to last album recorded by The Beau Brummels who by this time were reduced to a trio, by the time they recorded Bradley's Barn, their final album, they were only a duo. If they had recorded yet another album they surely would have been a solo act and would need to remove the plural sounding s, from their name, and that would have been a hassle, besides to be known as The Beau Brummel sounds faggy. So they disbanded.
This album is really great though, and I can't stop listening to it. I am sad that this album is only 28 minutes. I wish The Beau Brummels could have recorded a hundred albums like this.
